Dr Dawn De Coteau

Founder & Managing Director

Dr De Coteau is an International legal practitioner having been called to the Bars of England & Wales, Grenada, St. Christopher & Nevis and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. In addition, she is a Chartered Legal Executive. She has a Masters in Maritime & International Trade and is a qualified Commercial & Civil Mediator.

Dr De Coteau is regularly instructed by client’s from the diaspora, private, corporate and charitable clients.

Her areas of practices includes: administration of estates, banking and finance, commercial and corporate, conveyance, company formation – both on and offshore, employment, entertainment, estate planning, governance, compliance and regulation, intellectual property and trade marks, land & property, probate, maritime and sports. In addition she leads on the companies turn-key relocation services for clients wishing to relocate or return to Eastern Caribbean.

Professor Leslie Thomas QC

Senior Consultant Barrister

Professor Thomas is a leading expert in claims against the police and other public authorities, and claims against corporate bodies, with expertise across the full spectrum of civil wrongs, civil litigation, human rights, data and privacy claims.

He is an expert in all aspects of inquests and public inquiries, having represented many bereaved families, in particular where there has been abuse of state or corporate power. Professor Thomas acts for claimants in judicial review proceedings and other public law proceedings.

He regularly acts for clients in the Caribbean region on constitutional law challenges. He has represented claimants in clinical negligence and personal injury claims for the last 20 years. He is currently Professor of Law at Gresham College delivering his lecture series Death, The State and Human Rights.

Simone Bowman

Consultant Barrister

Simone is dual qualified Barrister and Solicitor (non practising) of England and Wales, also qualified to practice throughout the Caribbean. Her current Bar admissions are: Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana and St.Christopher & Nevis.

Her practice areas includes: professional regulation & disciplinary action, court of protection, property & housing, criminal defence, private prosecutions, actions against the police and contentious probate and inheritance act challenges.

Abraham Blay

Paralegal

A seasoned Health & Safety, Human Resources and Risk Manager professional with over 21 years experience. His wealth of qualifications and expertise enables him to provide the right advice aligned to securing the best solution for our clients.

Abraham is available to work with both small to medium size as well as large corporate organisations.

In addition, Abraham is available to assist with legal matters related to his areas of expertise.

Chevanev Charles

Consultant Attorney

Chevanev was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2018, Bar of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2018, Grenada Bar in 2019. Mr Charles’ areas of practice include Civil Litigation, Company law, Property Law, Family Law, Administration of Estate, with specialization in Debt Collection and Maritime Law, ship mortgages, registration and ship sale and purchase.

Chevanev is an experienced legislative drafter and has drafted several instruments including: Shipping (Maritime Labour Convention) Regulations 2017 and STCW Regulations 2016, Shipping (Marine Pollution Prevention) Bill 2019 as well as several others. He is a certified civil and commercial mediator with the ADR Group, London.

Jeffrey De Coteau

Project & Logistics Manager

Is the Project and Logistics Manager who leads our bespoke Turn Key Relocation department. He is responsible for ensuring a seamless service for all clients is executed at all stages. This takes the stress away from our clients. Jeffrey is the first point of contact for our Turn Key relocation clients.

Jeffrey is available to discuss your plans in detail and see it through to execution.

Karen Stiell

Legal Caseworker

Karen is a senior caseworker who assists on non contentious probates and estates. In additions she is a highly experienced Human Resources practitioner, Project Manager, Organisation Effectiveness & Management Development and ICT. She has been commissioned by several corporate organisations both in the UK and Grenada.

Karen is analytical and pays attention to detail to ensure the clients outcomes are met on all commissions.

Rouel Edmund-Willis

Caseworker

Rouel is an experienced Caseworker at EMA Solutions. He is usually clients first point of contact, and undertakes all the fact before advising or directing to one of our lawyers. He is always ready to assist clients to resolve their matter.

CASEWORKERS

Our professional Caseworkers work alongside our CEO and Consultants and assist in ensuring that all elements of programmes and client matters are managed efficiently and effectively.

ADMINISTRATORS

Our Administrators are the personnel who ensure the smooth day to day operations of the business.
They will usually be the first point of contact for our clients, and stand ready to direct clients queries accordingly.
